What is Verifi RDR?

RDR is Visa’s automated pre-dispute programme, delivered through Verifi. You define the rules, such as value thresholds, categories, exclusions. When a dispute matches, Visa’s decision engine applies them at the issuer. The refund is issued and the chargeback never reaches you.

Resolved at the issuer

Visa applies your rules before a chargeback is raised. No alert to receive, no queue to work.

Rules you define

Thresholds, categories and exclusions set in advance, adjustable as your book changes.

Faster for the customer

The refund reaches them sooner than a dispute would, which is what they wanted from the dispute.

PROCESS

How Verifi RDR Works

1. Dispute Initiated

Customer initiates dispute and issuing bank sends Verifi RDR alert. Verifi RDR references merchants custom rule set. Moves to processing.

2. Automated Processing

Verifi RDR evaluates the dispute based on predefined rules set by the merchant.

3. Dispute Resolved

Disputes meeting the criteria are automatically refunded, preventing chargebacks.
